Studio

Every Baillie Baillie project involves input from our whole team - Colin, Megan and Tom (and sometimes Brochan the Border Collie gets a word in). We work alongside our network of experts, engineers and craftspeople to deliver buildings that are considered, durable and meticulously detailed.

Process

We love the process of designing buildings.

Carefully handmade models help us communicate our ideas with you. There is no digital substitute that brings the same clarity of understanding.

Our digital visualisations include hints of how spaces might be inhabited, and are intended to spark ideas, as much as to describe them.

Sustainability

Baillie Baillie are proud to endorse Architects Declare, joining forward thinking practices across the UK to declare a climate and biodiversity emergency.

Climate change and loss of biodiversity are the most critical issues of our time. Buildings and construction play a major part.

We want our buildings to be loved and looked after for generations to come. Low-energy, carbon-neutral buildings are essential, but sustainability requires more than that alone. We advocate for ‘less but better’. Our designs seek longevity, durability and efficiency, and recognize the inherent value of the natural environment.
