Kepdarroch Farmhouse
Set in an open agricultural landscape, the house is arranged around a series of gardens and informal courtyards. Interiors take in expansive views to distant landmarks, from functional & robust, but warm and comfortable living spaces.
House on Marchbank
Our addition works with elements of the site ‘as found’ - a stone wall on the street, historic brickwork internally, and a seamless transition of new and existing slate roofs.
House in a Woodland Clearing
Within a dense woodland, a cluster of simple volumes defines a protected garden, positioned carefully on the site to draw in south light. Rooms are arranged to provide different experiences - views, orientations and qualities of light.
Feus Cottage
Appearing to the street as a small traditional cottage, new rooms to the rear open to the garden. The plan is compact but creates a surprising feeling of space through diagonal views and light from above.
Iorram
A small contemporary cottage, with references to traditional materials and details. Deep walls, low eaves and a subtly sculptural form.
House with a Cloister
A series of rooms around a courtyard - two linear volumes and a garden wall define a cloistered sanctuary, within a native woodland in the Scottish Highlands.
